BAD BEACH DAY

What the hell! Knowing that dogs aren't permitted at the beaches on Long Island during certain hours, we did a search on the Internet to find dog friendly places. We found what was considered a "dog beach". We were excited and loaded the dogs up for the day. We drove the 65 miles one way only to find out it looked more like a toxic dump site for industrial plants. The choice is either that or paying yet another fee to enter the parks. Why does EVERYTHING seem to cost money on Long Island. If that is the case than charge me to allow me to bring my dogs to the beach. I have lived in several areas of this country and even out of this country and have never found this to be a problem. I have some great memories of watching my other dogs (that have since passed away) at the beach, playing in the water, running from the waves, chasing the seagulls, etc. That made for some fun days and great pictures.
What is wrong with this world that people, in this day and time, still cannot except dogs. They really are no different than a screaming kid running around and peeing in the ocean.
Anyway, we got out of the car walked about 10 feet and took some pictures. We didn't dare go any further.
What a huge disappointment and waste of a day!
